SOCIAL WORKER/PSYCHOLOGIST
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develops individualized services for children and families.

Implements strength-based family centered methodology into planning.

Elicits, values, and incorporates different perspectives in action plans and strategies in order to help children stabilize in a placement and connect them with a permanent setting.

Facilitates the development and refinement of effective reactive and proactive safety plans.
-
Provides leadership role in linking parents, youth, and staff when a crisis arises.
-
Ensures the involvement of natural members with the Child and Family Team (CFT).
-
Assists Behavior Specialists and other team members to develop strength-based interventions and strategies which include plans for transition to primary guardian.

Participates effectively in both internal and external multidisciplinary clinical teams.

Provides effective therapeutic linkages with referral sources, collateral contacts, community resources and program staff.

Monitors effectiveness and efficiency of interventions with youth and families.

Completes assessments and evaluations that are appropriate to youth and family strengths and needs.

Monitors effectiveness and efficiency of interventions with youth and families.

Demonstrates proficient skills and abilities regarding conflict management and mediation of teams.
Qualifications:
- Candidate must possess at least Bachelor’s/College Degree, Post Graduate Diploma/Master’s Degree in Social Work or equivalent.

Required language(s): English, Filipino, Cebuano

At least 2 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.

Two (3) years of clinical experience with children preferred.

Training in domestic violence, physical/sexual child abuse and suicidal trauma preferred.

Knowledge of rules and regulations from the Department of Social Welfare and Development.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Provides direct services to children, youth and family.

Builds solid, cooperative, culturally responsive relationships with youth and families as well as community resources to assist with the planning, organizing, implementation and evaluation of appropriate activities to achieve family identified goals.

Builds on individual strengths, concerns, and needs with balanced focus on the family as a unit to assist in the implementation and achievement of goals and outcomes.

Works with children, youth and family teams to support family driven, strength-based planning and interventions.

Conducts observations regarding specific target behavior, track progress and modifies plans with the family to support their intended identified outcome.

Identifies behavioral triggers and suggests environmental modifications to support positive behavioral change

Provides targeted mental health services and crisis stabilization interventions consistent with service plans.

Understands and takes advantage of therapeutic opportunities in crisis situations.

Monitors effectiveness and efficiency of behavioral and crisis management interventions with youth.

Communicate effectively with youth, parents, team members, supervisors, and outside stakeholders such as school personnel, and to remain neutral, always acting as a representative for youth and their families.

Utilize effective interpersonal skills promote positive and cooperative relationships with youth and their family members through the therapeutic treatment process.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree (BA/BS) in a related field preferred
Two (2) years working with children preferred
Employee shall be at least 21 years of age or by program requirement.
